Editor's Note on Political Advertising

As we approach another campaign season, candidates for political offices will be promoting their
messages to voters. Mt. Hermon Web TV invites candidates to buy advertising on our site. Advertisements found on Mt. Hermon Web TV's website should not be considered an endorsement of a candidate, unless plainly identified as such.

We accept positive ads and decline unverified or unverifiable negative or “mud-slinging” advertising. The U.S. Supreme Court addressed the issue of editorial control and freedom of the press in 1974 in the case Miami Herald Publishing Co. v. Tornillo, 418 U.S. 241. The Court ruled that editorial decisions regarding content "constitute the exercise of editorial control and judgment" and consistent with First Amendment guarantees of a free press.

Our Facebook posts, including some advertising, are usually shared from our website. These shares are abbreviated and do not contain the full story or message. Viewers should go to the link provided for the full story or message.
