Glynn Donnell Ross
September 09, 1949 - June 14, 2019



The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:  He leadeth me beside still waters. He restores my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:1-3

Glynn Donnell Ross was born September 11. 1949, to the late Talma Jean Crain Watson and Elbert Ross. Glynn departed this life at 12:10 A.M on Thursday June 14, 2019 at his home in Franklinton La. He was a permanent resident in California for 35 years and lived in New Orleans for 16 years. After Katrina he returned to Franklinton, La. where he resided until his death.

Glynn graduated from Washington Parish High School and attended the Southern University of Baton Rouge, La. and UC Berkeley.

Glynn served in the U.S. Army Military during the Vietnam war for four years. He was a drafting engineer for Freeman Corp., a licensed carpenter, and an event coordinator. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing Scrabble, playing cards, and enjoyed crafting.

Glynn also enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends.

Glynn leaves to cherish his memories,  a son Isaac Garrett of Mansfield, TX., a brother Michael Ross of Franklinton LA., and an  aunt  Ms. Marva Crain of Franklinton La., three nephews  Kyle Jackson, Dallas, TX., Keith Jackson, Fort Worth, TX., LeJacque Williams, Franklinton LA. Four nieces April Warren, Covington, LA., Chaya Pennington, Oklahoma City, OK., Monique Causey, Franklinton, LA., and Letika Ross, a  very special cousin and friend Cynthia Vernon and a host of Cousins  relatives and friends.

Glynn was preceded in death by his mother Talma Jean Crain Watson and Elbert Ross, his brother August Leon Ross and his sister Paula Ross Burkhalter

Services will be at Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton, Louisiana where Visitation will be on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by the Funeral Service.
