WPSO Drug Investigation: Three Arrested - One Still Wanted

The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force has been actively working in the Franklinton area to curtail the trafficking of illegal drugs. As part of that investigation, three Franklinton area residents have been arrested and drugs, cash, and a pistol have been seized.

The drugs and pistol were seized on March 28, 2019 at a Franklinton residence. The drugs consisted of  56.5 grams of cocaine, 25.5 grams of heroin, and 5 grams of crack cocaine. Also seized were $2,300 dollars and a Ruger 9mm semi-automatic pistol. The resident of the house, Andra Tate (37), was not present during the search and is being sought for arrest on six outstanding felony warrants. Tate, also known as Thump, might be hiding out in the Slidell area.

On April 2, 2019, Drug Task Force officers arrested three Franklinton area men on various drug charges: Larry O’Neal Cotton (52), Derick Gatlin (60), and Torrance Brandon Partman (38).

The investigation into the illegal drug trade continues and more arrests are possible. Meanwhile, any person having knowledge of the location of Andra Tate is encouraged to notify the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 839-3434. Callers may remain anonymous.

Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “I commend our Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force for a job well done. Their continued work, with assistance from the Franklinton Police Department, is helping to rid our streets of drug dealers. You can help in this investigation if you know the location of Andra Tate. If you do know, call and tell us. We will go after him. Mr. Tate, if you read this, I encourage you to turn yourself in. We will find and arrest you eventually and it will be much better for all if you peacefully surrender. Our Franklinton office is open twenty-four hours per day and you can walk in at any time and give yourself up.”
