Two Bogalusans Accused of Theft and 23 Counts of Forgery

An investigation by Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives and patrol officers resulted in the arrests last Thursday (January 17, 2019) of Bogalusa residents David Hill (32) and Lisa Ann Davis-Jefferson (43) on charges of forgery (23 counts), identity theft (23 counts), bank fraud (23 counts) and theft.
The investigation began after a parish man reported that his business banking check book had been stolen from his work vehicle. Once the suspects had been identified, Detective Kody Glenn, along with Patrol Sergeant Charlie Easterling and Deputy John Tullos, were able to locate and arrest Hill and Davis-Jefferson.

The investigation continues and it is anticipated that other arrests will be made.

“There is no doubt,” stated Sheriff Randy Seal, “that the quick arrests of Hill and Davis-Jefferson prevented additional crimes against other Washington Parish residents. I congratulate our officers for their excellent work in this matter.”
