Obituary

Rayfus Marshall
October 25, 1946 - January 27, 2019

Rayfus Marshal was born October 25, 1940 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Eloise Brumfield and Tommie Marshall. He later became an ordained Minister. He has been a resident of Louisiana most of his life, but also spent many memorable years in Texas. His final journey in death ended when he entered into eternal rest on January 27, 2019.

He goes on to join his loving wife of 5 years, Jerry Dean Marshall; his mother, Eloise Brumfield; his father, Tommie Marshall; three brothers, Roy Marshall, Tommie Marshall, Jr., and James Marshall; a sister, Lillie Mae Marshall; three nephews, Marcus Hart, Keith Hart, and Byron Warren; three nieces, Janice Magee, Loretta Herbert, and Louise Warren; as well as a great-grandson, Justin R. Kemp.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories, five daughters and one son, Joyce (Larry) Williams, Willie (Becky) Marshall, Viola (Jessie) Barnes, Patricia (Melton) James, Cynthia (Willie) Ellis, Jr., and Sharon Marshall; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, his sisters, Willie Mae (S. J.) Brown, Rilda Ann (Bruce) Dillon, and Delores Marshall; his brother, Edward Marshall; a God Son who he loved dearly, Michael Sibley; a loving companion, Irma Mae Peters; as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was a God-fearing man in life and most certainly an angel and soldier until the end. He touched the lives and hearts of many in his lifetime, and will surely continue to watch over them in his passing.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa from 2:00PM – 5:00PM.
