$260 Million Energy Center Ground Breaking Ceremony
On Tuesday (October 30, 2018) Calpine representatives and local elected officials attended the ground breaking ceremony of a $260 million, megawatt plant that will be built in Washington Parish outside of Bogalusa. The demolition and reconstruction will take approximately three years, and will employ more than 300 workers. Once open and purchased by Entergy, 25-35 employees will be hired.
