Patsy Ruth Taylor Martin
June 29, 1945 - September 26, 2018



Patsy Ruth Taylor Martin, age 73 and a resident of Pine died Wednesday afternoon September 26, 2018 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a longtime member of Pine Missionary Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday school for many years. She loved to sing, enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and liked to visit the Great Smokey Mountains. Patsy was a servant at heart that always cared for the needs of others. She loved everybody and liked to get to know the new people she met. Patsy was always a loving wife, mother and grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.

Survived by: 4 Children and Spouses: Donna and Hal Russell of Pine, Timothy and Connie Martin of Thomas, Anthony and Lana Martin of Walker, Tonya and Eld. Jason Skipper of Picayune, MS; 8 Grandchildren and Spouses: Miranda and Auston Jones, Scott and Corrie Martin, Jonathan and Amber Martin, Peyton and Kolton Quinn, Alissa Martin, Landon Martin, Abigail Skipper, Titus Skipper; 4 Great-grandchildren: Hunter Martin, RayLynn Martin, Jaydee Martin, Mallory Bourguard; An expected great-grandson; 3 Sisters and Brothers in law: Lillie Mae Jutz of Indiana, Loretta and A.C. McCain of Stateline, Bernice and James Miller of Angie; 4 Brothers and Sisters in law: Douglas and Elvia Taylor of Stateline, Wesley and Lisa Taylor of Pass Christian, MS, Sydney and Paula Taylor of Foxworth, MS, Vernon Taylor of Columbia, MS; Also numerous nieces, nephews, church family members and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Donald Edsel Martin, parents James Wesley Taylor and Lorene Miley Taylor and a grandson Chance Russell.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday September 28th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue Saturday at Pine Missionary Baptist Church from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Saturday with Eld. Adam Luper, Eld. Jason Skipper and Bro. Lynn Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Martin Cemetery.
