Bogalusa Burglary Suspect “Chased, Caught, Cuffed”

When homeowners living south of Bogalusa returned home, they discovered their home had been burglarized. A television and other electronic equipment were missing. Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were able to lift fingerprints from the scene. The fingerprints matched those of Aaron Blackwell (25), a resident of Charlevoix Street.

On September 26, 2018, Blackwell was located and arrested. During the process of being arrested, Blackwell ran from detectives but was caught and transported to jail on the charges of Failure to Appear, Failure to Pay Fine, Simple Escape, Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling, and Simple Burglary.

Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “Chased, caught, cuffed. That says it all. Congratulations to our officers for another job well done.”
