Ouachita Parish sheriff's deputies arrested Richard M. Duncan (56) of Bogalusa last week on the charge of disturbing the peace through drunkenness. Authorities received a complaint from a homeowner who said the suspect was walking in his yard, wearing only boxer briefs. The complainant said she heard a noise outside her house and looked out a window to see a nearly naked man in her yard. She told him to leave several times, but he refused, she claimed.

Deputies arrived at the complainant's house and found Duncan in the condition reported.

The complainant had previously informed Duncan she was armed when he stepped onto her porch. After she said she had a gun, Duncan got off the porch but refused to leave. He said he was homeless and staying at a nearby trailer, though he could not show deputies the place.

Duncan reportedly told deputies he was under the influence of methamphetamine, which he said he had smoked earlier.
