October 31, 1933 - April 23, 2018
Carolyn Margaret Boyd, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, went home to be with The Lord on April 23, 2018 at the age of 84.
Carolyn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bogalusa. She was a member and Past President of the Bogalusa Garden Guild, Past President of the Civic League, and Past Treasure of the Kings & Queens Dance Club.
She leaves behind a Son, Jimmy "Jody" Hammond Jr. and his wife Denise of Yucaippa, CA., a Daughter, Frances Ellen Baham and her husband Buddy of Hammond La., 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lender and Effie Day Windham, her husband, Gene Horace Boyd, a son, Richard Scott Hammond, a brother, Glyn Windham, 3 sisters, Lena Smith, Sue Pierce and Mary Frances Windham.
Visitation will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday April 27, 2018 beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time at 12 noon. Rev. Greg Whaley will officiate the service with the interment to follow in the Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery.
