WPSO and DEA Finds Illegal Drugs & More at Pine Residence

After receiving numerous tips from concerned citizens, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office began a drug investigation focusing on one residence in the Pine community.
The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force and the DEA obtained a search warrant for the residence of Carla Renee Thomas (43) and discovered approximately 79.7 grams of methamphetamine, 26.6 grams of marijuana, Xanax, Tramadol, Suboxone, Clonazepam, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, one pistol and one rifle.
Thomas was booked Wednesday (March 7, 2018) on numerous drug charges and remains in jail with her bond set at $300,000.
Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “Once again we see the value of a joint effort between your Sheriff’s Office and the DEA to eradicate illegal narcotics in Washington Parish and put drug dealers in jail. It is a great partnership and we will continue to work together on behalf of the good citizens of our parish.”
