Former Owner Arrested For Damage at Pool Supply Store

Ron Ulfers, the former owner of a Covington-area pool supply store was arrested Tuesday (March 20, 2018) after causing more than $1 million worth of damage to the business last November.
On November 20, 2017, Deputies were dispatched to Clearwater Pool & Spa in Covington after Ulfers called to report the business had been broken into and vandalized. The building was ransacked, with much of the contents destroyed or heavily damaged. Ulfers was the former owner of the business, but had sold the business. At the time of the incident, he was employed only as a consultant.
Ulfers was located at the company’s warehouse in Lacombe and charged with Criminal Damage over $50,000 (2 counts), Injuring Public Records (2 counts), and Theft Between $1,000 and $5,000.
