Cyberstalking Suspect Behind Bars in Tangipahoa Parish

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edward reports that on January 4, 2018 the TPSO began investigating a series of ongoing stalking complainants.
For the past several months, the suspect, Alva Vance, III (74) of Ponchatoula posted repeatedly on socially media about his ongoing divorce, in very descriptive language. The victim explained that the social media posts have resulted in her being terrified, requiring her to go into hiding.
On February 26, 2018, warrants were obtained on Alva Vance, III for seven counts of cyber stalking. Mr. Vance was taken into custody at the Twenty First District Court. Vance was in court for a previous arrest for violating a court order.
