Shawna Sharpe Gerald
January 14, 1978 - January 11, 2018


SHAWN RENAE SHARPE GERALD, AGE 39 and a resident of Pine died Thursday morning January 11, 2018 at her home. She was a graduate of Picayune High School where she was a member of the gymnastics team and also the captain of the cheerleading squad. Shawn later became a Licensed Practical Nurse and was a longtime employee of Heritage Manor in Mandeville. She loved being near the water as she enjoyed tanning on the beach and also spending time on the river. Shawn often liked to collect the beautiful rocks she found along the river. She was a strong woman and always a loving mother that cherished the time spent with her family and young grandchildren.
Survived by: Husband: Scott Gerald of Pine; 4 Daughters and a Son in law: Jordan and Eric Creel of Franklinton, Vischaen Perrin of Mandeville, Sarah Gerald, Katie Grace Gerald both of Pine; Son: Dylan Lewis Gerald of Pine; 2 Grandsons: Easton Creel, Weston Creel; Mother: Patty Clifton Sharpe of Picayune; 3 Sisters: Laurie Stockstill of Picayune, Alma Concha, Gayle Morgan both of Folsom; 3 Brothers and a Sister in law: Shea Sharpe of Picayune, Darel Marcotte and Dee Dee Marcotte of Goodbee, Eddie Sharpe of Covington; Also numerous nieces, nephews other family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Arnold Sharpe, a sister Shannon Sharpe and her grandparents.
A memorial service for family and friends will be planned at a later date.
