Teens Shoot Their Way In to Steal Electronic Cigs

In the early morning  hours of December 27, 2017, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office began investigating a burglary at the Create-A-Cig Shop on University Ave. in Hammond. With the assistance of the Louisiana State Police and the Hammond Police Department, detectives were able to make two arrests and recover some of the stolen items.
The two shot their way into the establishment. Once inside, they shot into the glass cases and stole a large amount of merchandise, including several electronic cig’s valued over one thousand dollars.
With the help of the business owner, assisting law enforcement agencies and this video, detectives identified, located and  booked this brazen duo.
Jason Paul Shelton (17) of Hammond and Shane Michael Freeman (18) of Walker were charged with aggravated burglary.
