St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s detectives are investigating an aggravated battery that occurred between a father and son Saturday night (December 2, 2017) in the Lacombe area. Responding to a 911 call in Lacombe, deputies found a 57-year-old man unconscious inside the home. A family member at the residence told deputies the victim had gotten in a fight with his son, Casey Melerine (27) who was arrested on the charge of Second Degree Aggravated Battery.The father was transported to a south shore hospital, where he remains in critical condition with a head injury.
