Robert John Duncan
August 28, 1930 - November 30, 2017



Robert John Duncan born August 28, 1930 a resident of Bogalusa went to his Heavenly Home on November 30, 2017 at the age of 87 after a long battle with cancer.
He was a Minister and a member of the United Faith Pentecostal Church here in Bogalusa. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and bee keeping. He was known as the "Honey Bee Man". He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by family, his many friends and all those who knew him.
He is survived by six children, Robert Samuel Duncan and his wife Cheryl Delre Duncan of Alexandria, La., Betty Bufkin and her husband Julius and Sandra Stafford and her husband Larry all of Franklinton, Patricia Duncan of Bogalusa, Shirlene Duncan Magee and her fiancé Donald Stafford and Rebecca Blount5 and her husband Crandall of Holden, La., three brothers, Monroe Duncan of Mt. Hermon, Jerry Duncan of Pine, Joda Duncan of Jasper, Arkansas, two sisters, Luvenia Lily of Mt. Hermon and Molly Ladner of Pine, thirteen grandchildren, Sabrina Powell and her husband Ryan of Houston, Tanya Black, Jennifer Bufkin, Jonathon Bufkin and his wife Katherine, Teddy Magee Jr. and his fiancé Shelby, Scott magee and Ana Egleston, JoHannnah Duncan Lawrence and her husband Ethan,Danielle Duncan and her fiancé Kenneth Aikman, Kaitlyn Duncan, Laura Blount Carper and her husband Robert, Corissa Blount, Crandall Blount Jr. and Marnita Blount, six great-grandchildren, cash Powell, Kelsey Powell, Damien Black, Raven Lawrence, Alaina and Winston Carper, best friends, Dana and Brenda Magee, two special care givers, grandsons Teddy and Scott Taylor Magee, also a special comrade from the war, Rev. William Wood of Florida.
Preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lona Slaven Duncan, wife, Betty Lou Wheat Duncan, brothers, Elwood Duncan, Woodrow Duncan, Cleve Duncan Tommy Ray Duncan, a sister, Edith Duncan Brooks, great grandson, Devin Black and a sister-in-law, JoAnn Duncan.
Visitation will be held on Friday December 1, 2017 at the United Faith Pentecostal Church beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and will resume Saturday December 2, 2017 after 8:00 A.M until service time at 11:00 A.M. Services will be conducted by Bro. Brandon Willis. Then interment will follow in the Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery located on Spring Valley Rd. .
Military Honors will be provided by the Magic City American Legion Post #24.
