FPD Chief Olander Smith Tapped for WST Board

Washington-St.Tammany Electric Cooperative takes pride in announcing its newest Director Mr. Olander Smith. Mr. Smith was selected to serve the remaining term of Mr. Hoyt “Chick” Boyd of Angie. 
Mr. Smith and his wife Elisa Williams Smith are residents of the Hackley community of Washington parish and attend Water Valley Church of God in Christ. Mr. and Mrs. Smith have five children with one deceased and eleven grandchildren. Mr. Smith retired from the Louisiana State police after thirty three years, achieving the rank of Major and directing four Troops. Mr. Smith has over forty years of public service in law enforcement and currently serves as police chief for the Town of Franklinton.
