TPSO Seeking Hit and Run Driver

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that they are is looking for the person(s) responsible for a hit and run that occurred Sunday (June 18, 2017) night and that claimed the life of Walter Collier (31) of Ponchatoula and hospitalized a 30-year old female. 
TPSO deputies W. Club Deluxe Rd. at the KOA Campground where first responders were already on the scene attempting to render aid to the two pedestrians that were struck by a vehicle while they were walking on the shoulder of the roadway.
There are no reports of anyone physically witnessing the crash occur. However, a dark colored two-door sports car was seen leaving the area, speeding east toward Morrison Blvd. seconds after bystanders heard the crash occur.
Sheriff Edwards is asking anyone with information regarding this hit and run to please contact Crime Stoppers at 800.554.5245.
