Four More Arrested in TPSO Illegal Bonding Investigation

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports four additional persons have been identified as being engaged in illegal bond activity. They are 47 year old Shawanda Dove (47) of Independence, 43 year old Bridget Harper (43) of Hammond, 40 year old Ronald Berry (40) of Hammond, and 34 year old Donald Bickham (34) of Hammond. Dove and Harper have been arrested on warrants charging them with Conspiracy for the Illegal Consideration of Criminal Bail Bonds, Conspiracy to Commit Forgery, False Personation, and Injuring Public Records. TPSO is currently looking for Berry and Bickham.
The TPSO press release states that Berry was freed from jail on a $280,000 property surety bond on November 4, 2016 and Berry coordinated the illegal bond with several other persons either directly or indirectly. Berry was being held on numerous narcotics related charges for possession and distribution. Berry’s girlfriend, Bridgette Harper and brother, Donald Bickham, coordinated payment to Shawanda Cortez Dove, who through another party obtained forged bond paperwork resulting in Berry being released.
Six others were arrested on January 19 (see our January 21 story), including three TPSO employees, in connection with illegal bonding activity.
If you have information relating to the whereabouts of Berry and Bickham please contact Crime Stoppers at 800.554.5245.
