One Identified in National Guard Vehicle Burglaries in Franklinton

Franklinton Police Chief Olander Smith has advised that an arrest warrant has been issued in the National Guard car break-in case from July. For Evantrell Tennessee (18).  Tennessee is currently in St. Tammany Parish Jail for an August burglary but will be booked on FPD's warrant upon his release. The FPD warrant is for Vehicle Burglary (26 counts), Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property (26 counts), Theft of Firearm (4 counts), and Criminal Trespassing.
In July, Franklinton Police discovered several vehicles belonging to National Guard soldiers had been burglarized at the Readiness Center and that thousands of dollars of damage had been done. The soldiers had left their vehicles at the center while on a training trip.  
Investigation continues and more arrests may be made.
