Sheriff Smith Presents $1,000 Check to Cleanup Challenge Winners from Jiu Jitsu Planet

Message from the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office

Earlier this year, Washington Parish Sheriff Jason Smith called on school groups and businesses to put together cleanup teams to collect trash and litter. Today (July 23, 2025), the team from Jiu Jitsu Planet paid a visit to the Sheriff’s Office and collected their 1st place prize, which was a check for $1,000.

Thanks to all the teams who participated by pitching in to help make Washington Parish beautiful this past spring. Sheriff Smith and his Deputies are committed to addressing the growing litter problem in Washington Parish, and all are invited to join us in this parish-wide effort.
