Naomi "Red" Schillings Ard
April 18, 1942 - May 9, 2017



NAOMI "RED" SCHILLINGS ARD, AGE 75 and a resident of Franklinton died at 2:36 pm Tuesday May 9, 2017 at the Ocshner Medical Center in New Orleans. She began working at the Courthouse Café before moving to Riverside Medical Center in 1977, where she worked as a dietician for nearly 40 years. "Red" loved to collect Porcelain Dolls and had an extensive collection over many years. She also enjoyed watching her favorite wrestling program every Monday night.
Survived by: 4 Nieces and Spouses: Jackie and Steve Wise of Franklinton, Sandy and Ray Chaisson, Sr. of Berwick, Kim Brumfield and Wes Cooper of Kentwood, Stacey Talley Fritter of Franklinton; Great-nieces, great-nephews and Spouses: Cody and Alana Wise, Ashley Wise, Nolan and Krissy Chaisson, Raechelle and Victor Gonzales, Ray Chaisson, Jr. and Shelby Chaisson, Kaitlin Brumfield, Kamryn Brumfield, Dakotah and Amanda Toney; Also numerous great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Ard, her parents Solomon Leon Schilling and Emmie Simmons Schilling Miller, her sister Betty Rae Schilling Talley and a great-nephew Braden Chaisson.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday May 11th from 6 pm until 9 pm and after 9 am on Friday. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Stafford and Ray Schilling officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
