Bogalusa Police Department Public Information Officer Major Percy Knight reports that on Wednesday May 10, 2017, the BPD received a call at 6:58 am about an unresponsive infant. The Grandmother of the infant stated that the child slept in the bed between her and another family member Tuesday night. When the Grandmother got up Wednesday morning, the infant was unresponsive and EMS was called. The 7 month old female infant was transported to Our Lady of Angels Hospital by ambulance and was pronounced dead at 7:36 AM.
Foul play is not suspected.
