Larry Keil

June 8, 1947 — April 3, 2026

Larry Keil born to Percy Keil and Bessie T. Keil on June 08, 1947, made his transition from life on this earth to the everlasting life with God at the age of 78.

EDUCATION: Idella Hardy Kindergarten, Poplas Elementary, Central Memorial High. Attended Boise Junior College(now Boise State University), and Tulane University. Obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern University at New Orleans, BS and Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Houston, and a BS in Theology from Charles Harrison Mason System of Bible Colleges.

RELIGIOUS SERVICE: Became a member of Saint John Temple COGIC at Bogalusa, La. at the age of 12. Relocated and placed membership with Saint James Chapel COGIC at New Orleans, La., born again, received baptism of the Holy Ghost and Fire. Commuted to Bogalusa, licensed to preach the Gospel, served as a Pastor of the Junior Church and Sunday School Teacher. Relocated and placed membership with North Main COGIC, ordained as an Elder served as an Associated Minister and as American Legion VFW Chaplain.

EMPLOYMENT: United States (US) Air Force, United Fruit Company, South Central Bell, City of New Orleans, State of Louisiana, Louisiana State Board of Nursing, and US Department of The Interior.

FAMILY: The marriage of Larry Keil and Geraldine J. Keil was blessed with 6 children: Morning Dew(Still Born), Jacqueline Yvette, Michelle Cheri, Curtis Antoine, Rachel Bethelen(Walter Smith), and Rodney Richard(godchild). 7 Grandchildren: Kristian, Mar'Keil, Keilab, Harold (Smantha), Marchelle, Jaia and Aja. Great-grandchild Jerrie Nephews: Andre, Malcolm, Edward, Robert, Jian, Jacques, and Barry. Nieces: Sylvia, Betty, Cynthia, Myra, Rosalind, Scarlet, and Robin

PRECEDING IN TRANSITION: Sister: Lee Ethel, Gloria Stein, Ruth Anna, Chinese Amelia, and Mary Louise. Brothers: Alfred and Andrew. Brother- In- Law: Henry A. Chatman

LEFT TO MOURN: Sister Barbara and Brother Richard (Waver). A host of nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on April 10, 2026 at Cook-Richmond & Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Visitation will resume on April 11, 2026 at 12:00 PM until the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.
