A full road closure was announced today (December 30, 2025) for LA 424 (eastbound and westbound) between W.O. Turnage Rd. and Reverend Bennett Rd. in Washington Parish for bridge replacement. The closure start date is January 5, 2026 and end date is July 15, 2026. Emergency vehicles will not have access.
For motorists traveling eastbound and westbound on LA 424, detour signs will be installed at the intersections of LA 424 & LA 438, LA 438 & LA 62 and LA 62 & LA 424.
