Saturday (August 9, 2025) afternoon, 21 year-old Sebastion L. Rogers was arrested after a Firefighter from WPFD5 observed him using flashing lights and sirens to pass vehicles while traveling south on LA-21 on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
After observing the black F-150 pass several vehicles with lights and sirens, including at least two 18-wheelers, the Firefighter called his peers in neighboring districts and WPSO and confirmed that the truck did not belong to any of those jurisdictions. He later confirmed through contacts in Mississippi that the truck was being leased to Rogers by a volunteer Firefighter in MS, who had not removed the lights and sirens.
The Firefighter informed WPSO of the incident, and investigators located Rogers and the truck near Stuarts Café, in Angie. After questioning, Rogers was arrested and charged with False Personation of a Peace Officer or Firefighter and Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, based on his statements and statements from witnesses to the incident.
Bond has been set at $7500.00.
***All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty***
