The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) is asking for the public’s assistance in its investigation of a body found in a vehicle in the Amite area over the weekend. Around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday (August 10, 2025), TPSO received a call about a vehicle crash on Bennett Road. When deputies arrived, they found a vehicle in a ditch with a black male inside who had been shot to death. The identification of the victim is pending an autopsy.
While detectives are continuing their investigative process, the TPSO is reaching out to the public for help with the case.
