Gary Wayne Pittman, Jr.

September 25, 1981 - July 26, 2025

Gary Wayne Pittman, Jr., age 43 and a resident of Bogalusa, passed away early Saturday morning July 26, 2025 following an automobile accident. He was born on September 25, 1981 and later graduated from Bogalusa High School. He also lived in Foxworth, Mississippi for several years. Gary operated heavy equipment and performed other important duties for Bass Concrete for many years and most recently was working at Lakeview Sand & Gravel. He loved listening to his favorite rock music and watching anime movies and TV shows. Gary also collected Magic and Yugioh cards. He always enjoyed drawing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Survived by: 4 Children: Nathan James Pittman, Sophia Sharp, Gabriel Sharp and their mother Allie Sharp, a longtime companion, all of Bogalusa, Hunter and his mother Allison; Mother: Tonya Burr Pittman of Foxworth, MS; Sisters and a Brother in law: Monica and Scott Amacker of Bogalusa and their children Emily and Saylor, Heather Jones and her daughter Breanna; Brother and Sister in law: Dusty Wayne, Sr. and Breanna Pittman and their son Dusty, Jr.; Girlfriend: Ashley Dillman of Bogalusa; Also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends

He was preceded in death by his father Gary Wayne Pittman, Sr., grandparents Burt and Edna Burr, N.W. and Mildred Pittman, niece Hannah Marie Amacker and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Wednesday July 30th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Wednesday with Rev. Chris Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Pittman Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with final expenses.
