Terry Richard

December 23, 1956 - July 19, 2025

Terry Richard was the first child born to the late Gerald Sims and Sadie Richard. He was a resident of Bogalusa, LA. Terry was always a man who lived a peaceful, loving, and giving lifestyle. 

Terry joined Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Christopher Matthews. Terry started working at the young age of nineteen at Southeast Hospital in Mandeville, LA he worked there for thirty-two years, and retired at the age of fifty-two.

He leaves to cherish his life and legacy that will be lived on by his wife, Jerry Richard; sons, Charlie (Jacqueline) Butler, Todd Mark, Melvin Mark, Sr.; daughters, Sabrina (Bruce) Robertson, Nikita Mark; grandchildren, Key’Arria Mark, Destiny Mark, Justin Mark, Ky’Onna Mark, Lavonte Bates, Melvin Mark Jr., Myrion Mark, Toddasia Mark, Janiya Magee, Monet Mark, Charly Butler, Luther Butler, Cordarius Gatlin, Jasmine Lenoir, Martavious Lenoir, Donnel Butler, Tremaine Brown; twenty-two  great- grandchildren; his siblings, Kathy Dillion, Dinah (Edward) Milligan, Broderick (Tracey)Dillion, Stephanie Smith Dillion, Stephon (Sherita) Dillion, Renard Dillion, Steven Simmons, Felicia Simmons;  and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Sims; Sadie Richard; brother Geradel Richard; two nephews Todd Dillion and Brandon Magee. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home from 5:00PM – 7:00PM.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church 444 Elliott Avenue Bogalusa, LA 70427 with Pastor Calvin Jackson, Pastor Officiating. Interment – Ponemah Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
