Guns, Cash, Multiple Illegal Narcotics Found After Traffic Stop of Lacombe-area Convicted Felon

On June 24, 2025 last week, detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit arrested 37 year-old Clayton Joseph Ducre, a Lacombe-area resident, after illegal narcotics and firearms were located in his vehicle, on his person and inside his residence.

Initially, detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Ducre. During the traffic stop, they located an assortment of unlawfully possessed prescription pills inside the vehicle. Ducre, already a convicted felon and wanted on multiple attachments, was arrested and transported to the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center, where a more extensive search of his person led to the discovery of approximately 4 more grams of methamphetamine hidden in a sensitive area of his body.

During a search of his residence in the 28000 block of Highway 190 in Lacombe, detectives located approximately one pound of methamphetamine; nearly one pound of marijuana; multiple unlawfully possessed tablets of Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Oxycontin, Tramadol and Alprazolam; two firearms (one semi-automatic handgun and one semi-automatic rifle); an assortment of drug paraphernalia; and more than $2,000.

Ducre was booked on the charges of Improper Lane Use, Improper Turn, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (4 counts), Possession of Schedule IV CDS, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule IV (2 counts), Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule I, Illegal Carrying of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Proceeds Involving Proceeds from Drug Transactions, Taking Contraband to and from a Penal Institution, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Honor Written Promise to Appear - Driving Under Suspension (3 counts).
