Fentanyl Sales Investigation Leads to Arrest of Slidell and Abita Springs Residents

A Slidell-area man, who was out on bond for drug charges, was arrested again this month after it was learned he was back selling illegal narcotics in neighborhoods throughout St. Tammany. Two of his accomplices were also arrested after detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division learned of a large stash of fentanyl was being stored at their Abita Springs-area home.

On June 9, 2025, STPSO Narcotics detectives executed search warrants at a residence in the 300 block of Brookhaven Court in Slidell and a home in the 73000 block of Hook Street in Abita Springs as part of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of fentanyl by 35-year-old Slidell resident William Perry.

STPSO Narcotics detectives were already familiar with Perry prior to this investigation due to an October of 2024 arrest, during which Perry led investigators on a vehicle pursuit in Slidell. That pursuit ended with Perry being arrested for reckless driving, aggravated obstruction of a highway, possession of marijuana and possession of crack cocaine. Perry was out of jail on bond for those 2024 charges when detectives began investigating him as part of this new case.

After a several months-long investigation, evidence indicated that Perry was distributing fentanyl from his Slidell residence and all across various areas of St. Tammany Parish. Additionally, investigators identified the Abita Springs home as a location where a large quantity of fentanyl was being stashed.

Over the course of this investigation, detectives seized more than 250 grams of fentanyl pills (counterfeit Oxycodone) and powder, 110 grams of marijuana, cocaine, illegally possessed lorazepam, a “Draco” AK style rifle, and $822 dollars.

Perry,  32-year-old Brishad Johnson of Abita Springs, and  36-year-old Stephanie Badeaux of Abita Springs were arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on numerous narcotics-related charges.
