Inez Cooper Passman
June 6, 1931 - March 22, 2020



Inez Cooper Passman, age 88 and a resident of Franklinton, died Sunday morning March 22, 2020 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a longtime member of Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist Church that always loved her favorite gospel and bluegrass music. Inez was retired after a 30 year career as a nurse for Walthal County General Hospital, where she served at one time on the infectious disease control board. She enjoyed fishing and traveling to the mountains.

Survived by: 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Charles Wayne and Susanet Passman, Mike Adams all of Franklinton; Daughter and Son in law: Mary and Greg Crain of Franklinton; 5 Grandchildren and Spouses: Mark and Cathy Crain, Brandy and Andrew Graves, Ashley and Jeremy Lavignette, Jessica Passman and Kenny Brewer, April McClendon; 18 Great-grandchildren; 1 Great-great-grandchild; 5 Sisters and a Brother in law: Irene and Linwood Corkern of Franklinton, Vivian Smith of Mt. Hermon, Ruby Graves of Franklinton, Mildred Leather of Tylertown, MS, Patricia Shapiro of Denham Springs; Brother and Sister in law Walter and Barbara Cooper of Kentwood; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Charlie W. Passman, parents Alton Andrew Cooper and Ernestine Hunt Cooper, a sister, 4 brothers and 4 brothers in law.

A graveside funeral service will be held in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence Creek at 2:00 pm Wednesday March 25th with Eld. Duane Ball and Rev. Leonard Smith officiating.

Due to the circumstances impacting our community, a public service for her friends and family will take place in her church at a more appropriate time in the near future.
