Political Advertisements

Political advertisements found on
Mt. Hermon Web TV's website should
not be considered an endorsement of
a candidate, unless plainly identified.

We accept positive ads and decline
unverified or unverifiable negative
or “mud-slinging” advertising. The U.S.
Supreme Court addressed the issue
of editorial control and freedom of the
press in 1974 in Miami Herald
Publishing Co. v. Tornillo, 418 U.S. 241.
The Court ruled that editorial decisions
regarding content "constitute the
exercise of editorial control and
judgment" and consistent with First
Amendment guarantees of a free press.
