Vesta E. Sharp
June 12, 1922 - December 2, 2017



VESTA EDGAR SHARP, AGE 95 and a resident of the Lee Road Community died at 8:40 am Saturday December 2, 2017 at his home. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II having served with the 3rd Armored Tank Division that came ashore on Juno Beach during the D-Day Invasion. Vesta was formerly a longtime welder for Pre-stressed Concrete that enjoyed working in his vegetable garden. Alongside his wife, they were among the founding members of The Pentecostals of Lee Road church.
Survived by: 3 Sons and Daughters in law: Richard W. and Doddie Sharp of Tylertown, MS, Karey P. and Ladonics Sharp of Pine, Donald R. and Delindy Sharp of Lee Road Community; 7 Grandchildren; 12 Great-grandchildren; 2 Great-great-grandchildren; Brother: Ernest Sharp of Franklinton; Sister: Norma Jean Austin of Franklinton; Also numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents Hardy Sharp and Cecilia Galloway Sharp and 5 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be at 2 pm Monday December 4th at the Pentecostals of Lee Road church. A funeral service will be held in the church at 3 pm Monday with Rev. Rick Maricelli officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
