Harry Gerald Saucier, Sr.
September 25, 1937 - July 11, 2025
Gerald Saucier, age 87, was born in Goss, MS, on September 25, 1937. He passed away peacefully, on July 11, 2025 at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton, Louisiana, with his loving family by his side. Gerald worked for Crown Zellerbach before owning and operating his Air Conditioning and Heating Business. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting and fishing, enjoyed his Texas dove and pheasant hunting trips, and he was especially fond of his grandchildren that meant the world to him. If you knew Gerald, you know that he went wide open in everything he did.
Mr. Saucier is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Varnado Saucier; parents James “Jimmy” Saucier and Lillian Robertson Saucier; siblings Merlyn S. Autry, Felder Saucier, Wayne Saucier, Warren Saucier, Doyle Saucier, Billy Saucier, Gene Saucier, Lamar Saucier, Howard Louis Saucier, and Lavell Saucier.
Gerald is survived by his children Harry Saucier Jr. and the late Doree Saucier of Bogalusa, LA, Tim (Wanda) Saucier of Stateline, LA, and Amanda (Stephen) McMurray of Bogalusa, LA; grandchildren Shane (Lori) Sandifer of Franklinton, LA, Byron (Amanda) Sandifer of Bogalusa, LA, Megan (Adam) Pace of Bogalusa, LA, Ethan, Analee, and LilyKate McMurray of Bogalusa, LA, Marcie (Aaron) Seals of Stateline, LA, Michaela (Joee) Davis of Bogalusa, LA and Justin Saucier of Poplarville, MS; as well as a host of great grandchildren nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 15, 2025, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home starting at 10:00a.m. and will continue until the service time of 2:00p.m. The Rev. Chris Wheeler and Rev. Travis Houston will officiate, and interment will be held in Hillview Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the care they received from Community Care Hospice, Good Samaritan Nursing Home, and Riverside Medical Center. Also, a special thank you to Jennifer and Greg Kellar and Cynthia Farrar for the care and support they gave to Mr. Gerald.
