At 5:30 AM on Tuesday (May 13, 2025), Washington Parish Deputy Sheriffs were dispatched to a residence on Chess Bankston Road, west of Franklinton, in reference to three individuals leaving an abandoned property with stolen items.
Investigators spent the morning searching for the persons of interest and eventually caught up to the subjects at a residence on LA-25 at approximately 11:00 AM. A WPSO patrol Lieutenant recognized a trailer and other stolen items that had been identified by the owner, and quickly found three subjects at the nearby home. After several more deputies arrived at the scene, the three subjects were detained and questioned. All three stated that they had been given permission to remove the items by a fourth subject. The owner of the property quickly confirmed that the fourth subject did not live at the home that was burglarized and didn’t own any of the property that had been removed. As a result of the quick investigation and based on the owner’s identification of the missing items, all four subjects were arrested and transported to the Washington Parish Jail.
Arrested were 39 year-old Katy Marie Toney of Mt. Hermon, 46 year-old Stacie L. Hawkins of Franklinton, 51 year-old Angela J. Rowell of Franklinton, and 34 year-old Robert Wesley Westmoreland of Angie. Each was charged with a single count of simple burglary. No bonds have been set at this time.
