16 Year-Old Wanted in Tangipahoa Parish for Armed Robbery & More Captured in Alabama

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) has issued warrants for a 16-year-old male for Vehicle Burglary (2 counts), Armed Robbery, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Attempted Auto Theft, Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms, and Simple Criminal Damage to Property.

In the late evening hours of May 2, 2025, an armed robbery was reported at the convenience store located in the 14000 block of Highway 22 in Ponchatoula. The suspect threatened the victim with a gun then stole their car.

Two days later, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) - Jacksonville POST contacted TPSO about the stolen vehicle from the armed robbery being recovered in Talladega following a pursuit with law enforcement there. The 16-year-old was arrested in that incident and found to be in possession of a stolen gun reported from a series of vehicle burglaries in the Ponchatoula area that were under investigation from the evening of May 1.

It was later determined that the gun the 16-year-old was arrested with was also the gun used in the crime at the convenience store. Following several other confirming factors, a warrant was issued for the teen’s arrest in connection with these local crimes. He will be booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center following transfer from Alabama when those crimes are adjudicated.

TPSO would like to thank ALEA for their assistance with this case.
