Julius Harold Bankston, Jr.
June 5, 1943 - July 6, 2020
Julius Harold Bankston, Jr., age 77 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Monday afternoon July 6, 2020. He was born June 5, 1943 in Tylertown. Julius was a longtime truck driver for the Washington Parish Co-Op and Kentwood Co-Op, delivering bulk feed to the many dairy farms throughout the area. He also worked at Booker Drilling for a few years as a roustabout. Julius loved horses, riding his John Deere tractor while working on his farm and he always enjoyed going fishing.
Survived by: Wife of 50 years: Arline Thomas Bankston of Franklinton; Son and Daughter in law: Harold and Donna Bankston of Tylertown; Daughter and Son in law: Tammy and John Corkern of Enon; 3 Grandsons: Tristan Riley, Hunter Corkern, Remington Bankston; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Sally and Walt Seal, Betty Lou Bankston; 2 Brothers: James Danny Bankston, Paul Bankston; Also numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents Julius Bankston, Sr. and Erlean Morris Bankston and other family members.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday July 9th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Thursday with Patrick Richie of Jehovah’s Witnesses providing the funeral discourse. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery in Folsom.
