Glyn Garvon Carter

Glyn Garvon Carter a resident at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa, La. passed away on May 14, 2020 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, La. at the age of 83.
He is survived by his three children Lance H. Woodward, Stacie L. Woodward, and Teesha Woodward Kennedy; one granddaughter, Alexis S. Edwards; grandson, Randall Dalton “RD” Kennedy; one great grandchild, Xeina J.E. Clark; brother-in-law, Robert W. Mixon, Sr. (Carolyn); two lifelong family friends, Carolyn Bailey and Emma “Jeannie” Gill, all who reside in the Washington Parish area; and lifelong family friends, Jim and Linda Robertson of Hattiesburg, Ms.
He is preceded in death by his wife Brenda “Joyce” Mixon Woodward Carter (December 15,1940 – May 2, 2020) and his parents Joseph Jesse Carter and Nezzie Thomas Carter Simmons.
He was loved by many who will gather at a later date for a “Celebration of Life” for him and his beloved wife of 33 years that will be announced whenever that time becomes available.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home.
