Also surviving Benton is his brother, Ray Taylor, of Franklinton.

He was predeceased by his wife of sixty-four years; sisters Nora Graves, Alma Thomas, Viola Pevey, Mamie Cooper, Lettie Foil; and brothers Frank Taylor, Andrew Taylor, Eddie Taylor, and Devon Taylor.

Due to covid-19, a graveside service will be held with Pastor Marcus Rosa of Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating.  Poole Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church (www.webcbogalusa.com).
