COVID-19 Update (Louisiana) March 31, 2020 at Noon

The number of reported Louisiana cases has risen to 5237 (a 30% increase since yesterday) and reported deaths now stands at 239 (a 29% increase since yesterday). This is 1212 additional cases statewide and 54 more deaths since yesterday. A total of 1355 COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalized; of those, 438 patients require ventilation.

Underlying conditions among COVID-19 deaths is as follows: Pulmonary (12%), Cardiac (21%), Diabetes (40%), Chronic Kidney Disease (23%), Chronic Liver Disease (2%), Immunocompromised (4%), Neurological (6%), Obesity (25%), No Underlying Conditions (3%).

Washington Parish has 28 reported cases and 1 death. St. Tammany has 220 reported cases and 4 deaths. Tangipahoa has 25 reported cases and no deaths (However, other reports are of a death in the Amite area).
