TPSO Reports Arrests for Drug and Gun Violations

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reported today (August 13, 2019) that on August 8, 2019,
the TPSO, assisted by the Hammond Police Department's Narcotics Unit, arrested four Hammond residents on narcotics and other related charges.

A residence on Happywoods Road, belonging to 47-year -old Sean Cyprian of Hammond, was identified as being the source of suspected illegal narcotics activity. Pursuant to a search warrant, agents contacted the following persons at the residence: Sean Cyprian (47), Joshua Cyprian (23), Kharuma Boyd (21), and Wayne Anderson (27). Boyd briefly attempted to flee before surrendering to agents. Anderson was located hiding in a cloths dryer near the back of the residence.

The search revealed two handguns, one hidden between the couch cushions and the other (which was later discovered to be stolen) in a bedroom closet. Also located were digital scales and packaging materials consistent with street level narcotics sales. Sean Cyprian was found to be in possession of multiple grams of marijuana. Wayne Anderson was found to be in possession of marijuana. Kharuma Boyd to be in possession of another individual's EBT card. Joshua Cyprian was taken into custody on active arrests warrants for the distribution of schedule II narcotics.

All four subjects were transported to the parish jail for proper booking.
