On July 9, 2019, Richard Ducote was in Annapolis, Maryland to testify before a special committee of the General Assembly, the state's legislature, set up to enact new laws to fix problems arising in child custody cases involving child abuse and domestic violence. Mr. Ducote was invited to speak to the committee by the Honorable John E. Wobensmith, Maryland's Secretary of State, because of his  extensive experience and expertise in this area.
His testimony, beginning at 49:45 on the video's counter, reflects his appreciation for his life and career. His testimony also reflects his ability to process, teach, explain, and persuade when dealing with complex and very substantive issues.
