Obituary

John Cosse
March 26, 1962 - June 30, 2019



John Ernest Cosse, age 57 and a resident of Franklinton, died Sunday afternoon June 30, 2019 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was a native of New Orleans that had a long career as an off-shore worker for different companies over the years. John enjoyed shooting pool and watching his favorite New Orleans Saints. He loved saltwater fishing and also fishing in the marshes and bayous like when he grew up. John enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He loved playing board games with his young grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

Survived by: Wife: Vicky Hartley Cosse of Franklinton; 3 Daughters and Sons in law: Justine and Andres Ibanez of Bogalusa, Jill and David Thoeny, Julie and Danny Grabert all of Franklinton; Son: Jonathan Cosse and fiancĂ© Sarah Dugas of Franklinton; 6 Grandchildren: Kennen Schilling, Scarlett Ibanez, Adalyn Ibanez, Melody Thoeny, David P. Thoeny, Ava Grabert; 3 Brothers: Allen “Ricky” Cosse of Franklinton, Robert Cosse of Goodbee, Gerald Cosse of Franklinton; 5 Sisters: Deanna Vidacovich of Franklinton, Sharon Jurisich of Kinder, Karen Stock of Columbia, MS, Rhea Folse of Franklinton, Mary Bellelo of McComb, MS; Sister in law: Kelly McCown Colwell of Tylertown, MS; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Louis Cosse, Sr. and Estelle Hingle Cosse, brothers Melvin Cosse, Albert Cosse, Jr., Benjamin Cosse, David Cosse, sister Estelle “Cookie” Machella, mother in law and father in law Judy Ann Broughton Street and Jerry Street, brother in law Jimmy Allen Hartley, Sr.

Visitation for family and friends will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday July 8th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
