LABI’s SOUTHPAC Endorses Bedwell for State Representative

SOUTHPAC, a political action committee of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), today announced their endorsement of Phillipp Bedwell for State Representative for District 75.

“Phillipp Bedwell has spent his life serving our country and protecting our citizens,” Maura Donahue, chair of SOUTHPAC said. “Phillipp’s lifetime of service and his conservative principles will serve the people of Washington and St. Tammany Parishes well.”

“We encourage the business community to support Phillipp in his election this fall,” Bo Staples, Executive Director of SOUTHPAC said. “This is a critical election cycle for Louisiana, and the business community must support candidates who will work to better the business climate in the state. Phillipp’s deep roots in Washington Parish and his commitment to conservative ideas are why we’re excited to support his candidacy.”

A Washington Parish native, Phillipp Bedwell obtained his degree in law enforcement from Southeastern Louisiana University. Phillipp went on to serve in the United States Air Force as both a lieutenant and a captain in the USAF Security Police. After his military service, he went on to work at the US Department of Justice, holding various leadership positions within the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He is a past Chairman and a current member of the Washington Parish Republican Executive Committee and serves on the Republican State Central Committee.

"Empowering small businesses and keeping government small is critical to creating good paying jobs for Louisiana families,” Bedwell said. “I’m honored to have secured the endorsement of SOUTHPAC, and I value their support in my efforts to bring conservative representation to District 75 and the legislature.”
