Michael C. Holliday
December 8, 1948 - June 11, 2019



Michael C. Holliday, age 70 and a resident of Mount Hermon, died early Tuesday morning June 11, 2019 at his home. He was a former dairyman and had recently retired after working several years at Oak Hill Farms in Folsom. Michael was proud to call himself a “Cowboy” and he was that in every sense of the word. He loved horses, bull riding, Hee-Haw and listening to country music. He had spent countless hours sitting in his shed listening to his favorite Country Gold music. Michael loved deer hunting with his buddies, who called him the nickname and CB handle of “Blue Mule”. He enjoyed picking with his friends and everyone he met but had never had a fuss or cross words with anybody. Michael had a special place in his heart for his pet dog of 16 years, his Blue Heeler “Tip”.

Survived by: Daughter: Shannon Holliday of Mt. Hermon; Son: Patrick Fair of Mt. Hermon; Grandchildren and a Spouse: Brittany and Drew Milton, Maxton Fair; 2 Great-grandchildren: Braylen Milton, Avery Milton; Mother in law: Margaret Miller; Brother in law and Sister in law: Jim and Lisa Miller and their son Ethan; Also a host of many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Ann Miller Holliday, parents Dewey Holliday and Effie Roberts Holliday and father in law Larry Miller.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday June 12th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm Wednesday with Dr. Joe Baugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
