Bogalusa Firemen Respond to Two Fires With One Fatality

Yesterday (March 29, 2019), the Bogalusa Fire Department responded to two fires, one of which
resulted in a fatality.

At 9:51 the Bogalusa Fire Department received a call of a fire at a single-family residence located at 638 Avenue H. State Fire Marshal deputies are investigating but Chief Moody reports that the only resident was an adult male, who died apparently of smoke inhalation. Chief Moody reported that no smoke detectors were in the residence and that the fire was electrical in nature.

The Bogalusa Fire Department also responded to a fire at 1340 Edward Lane, off of Highway 21. A fire started in a shed at the location and then spread to a neighbor's shed and to the neighbor's camper. No loss of life or injuries occurred.
