Luther "Luke" O. Miley
June 28, 1933 - April 2, 2019



Luther “Luke” Miley passed away, on Tuesday morning April 2, 2019, at Resthaven Living Center, Bogalusa, LA., at the age of 85. Luke retired from the Washington Parish Sheriff’s office after 35 years of service. Luke enjoyed serving the citizens of Washington Parish, LA. He was also a war time veteran with the United States Army.

He is survived by his son Alan Miley and his wife Lisa of Varnado, LA. Two grandsons Alex Miley and his wife May of Varnado, LA., and Michael Miley and his wife Brittney of Lacombe, LA. One brother Elder Mason Miley of Pine, LA. One sister Macelle Miley (Cogburn) of Texas.

Luke was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Estelle Miley. Parents Luther and Margaret Miley. Nine siblings Henry Miley, Chinecy Miley Toney, Lucille Bowman, Irene Miley Hunt, Inez Miley Sandifer, Dorothy Miley Dominguez, Houston Miley, Gladys Miley Brooks, and Kinch Miley. Luke was a devoted husband, father, grandfather.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on April 3, 2019 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana where the Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on April 4, 2019. Interment will be at Rester Cemetery in Angie, Louisiana.
