Obituary

Ginger Ann Manning Barber
August 27, 1963 - March 22, 2019



Ginger Ann Manning Barber, age 55 and a resident of Mount Hermon, died at 5:30 pm Friday March 22, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a former clerk for many years with the Washington Parish Health Unit and later was manager of Instant Payday Loans, Inc. in Bogalusa for several years. Ginger was a graduate of Franklinton High School Class of 1981. She was a member of Clifton Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time at the family camp on the Bogue Chitto River, fishing and playing Bingo. Ginger adored her grandchildren and loved watching them play their favorite sports. She was always a loving wife and mother that cherished the time spent with her family.

Survived by: Husband: Keith Barber of Mt. Hermon; Son and Daughter in law: Brian and Chelsea Barber of Franklinton; Daughter and Son in law: Kaci and Seth Urban of Mt. Hermon; 4 Grandchildren: Bryce Barber, Madison Barber, Alyssa Urban, Lane Urban; Brother and Sister in law: Ken and Jackie Manning of Picayune, MS; Mother in law: Mary Barber of Mt. Hermon; Sisters in law and Brothers in law: Pam and Jeff Taylor of Franklinton, Clint and Stacy Barber of Mt. Hermon; Aunt: Gayle Fisher of Denham Springs, LA; Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Ray “Bill” Manning and Barbara Ann Moore Manning, a young brother Ricky Manning, father in law D.V. Barber and an aunt Barbara Sue Fisher.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday March 25th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Monday with Rev. Tony Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the Star Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
